Built by a network engineer

Network management that thinks like you do.

NetManager monitors, troubleshoots and documents your switches, routers, firewalls and access points from one place. It was written by a working network engineer, against real device output, to fix the problems network teams hit every day.

Why NetManager

Made at the console, not in a conference room

NetManager started as one engineer's troubleshooting tool for Aruba CX 6300M VSF stacks and 8325 cores. Every feature since was added because a real network needed it.

show interface

Parsers tested on real hardware

Route tables, VSF stacks, OSPF and BFD neighbors, ARP per VRF and interface counters are parsed from actual AOS-CX, IOS and PAN-OS output. When a parser was wrong, it was rewritten against the real thing.

docker compose up -d

Your credentials stay on your network

NetManager runs on your own server in Docker. Device passwords and SNMPv3 keys are encrypted at rest, and nothing about your network leaves the building unless you turn on an integration.

--scale poller=N

Grows from one site to thousands of devices

Polling runs on a queue of worker containers backed by PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB. Need more capacity? Add pollers. Pricing scales per device, so a small team pays a small bill.

The platform

Everything on one pane of glass

Twelve tools a network team usually buys, builds or scripts separately, sharing one inventory, one set of credentials and one alarm list.

Monitor & alarms

Live site and device reachability, severity-sorted alarms from polling, traps and syslog, with sounds and email.

auto-clearSNMP traps

Watchdog

Ping any device or IP on a 30, 60 or 90 second cycle. Configurable down and up thresholds, repeat emails, and an outage log.

Sites, devices & map

Site status rolls up from every device at the site. Bulk add by IP, credential and SNMPv3 profiles, geocoded map.

Topology

Diagrams drawn automatically from LLDP, per site, plus a list of neighbors you don't manage yet.

LLDP

Networks & IPAM

Clients, interfaces, connected subnets and routing tables across every vendor, with daily snapshots you can look back on.

CIDR sortMAC OUI30-day history

Interface utilization

Per-port In/Out charts from SNMP counters, in percent or Mbps, from the last hour to the last 30 days.

IF-MIB64-bit counters

NetFlow & syslog

Built-in collectors. Top protocols, conversations and hosts; searchable syslog that can raise alarms.

Metrics

Fleet-wide rankings for CPU, memory, disk, interface errors and discards, and top utilization.

top-N

CLI & SSH

A tabbed SSH terminal in the browser, plus read-only show commands run across up to 50 switches, routers or firewalls at once.

multi-sessionbulk show

PCAP analysis + AI

Upload captures for protocol, conversation, SIP/SDP and RTP analysis. Optional root-cause write-ups from the LLM you choose.

tsharkjitter / loss

Config backups

Scheduled running-config backups that only save when something changed, with side-by-side diffs and SCP/TFTP copies.

diffSCP / TFTP

Reports

Availability, latency, IP SLA and Watchdog reports over 1 to 30 days, by site, exported to PDF or Word.

The Monitor tab

Know what's down before the phone rings

Reachability is checked on its own fast cycle, separate from the full diagnostics poll, so a site turns red within seconds. A single missed ping won't page you; two in a row will.

  • Site status rolls up from its devices: all up is OK, a mix is Degraded, none is Down.
  • Alarms from polling, SNMP traps and syslog, sorted Critical, Major, Warning, Info.
  • Reachability and threshold alarms clear themselves when the problem does.
  • Your own match rules decide which trap or syslog text becomes which severity.
